- Common Ironweed -

Common Ironweed (Vernonia fasciculata) is a striking native perennial, adding bold color and height to any garden or restoration project. With its deep purple flower clusters blooming from mid to late summer, it provides essential nectar for butterflies, bees, and other pollinators. Growing 4 to 6 feet tall, it thrives in moist soils and full to partial sun. Its sturdy stems and vivid blooms make it a favorite for naturalized landscapes, rain gardens, and prairie plantings.
