- Maximilian Sunflower -

Maximilian Sunflower (Helianthus maximiliani) is a tall, striking native perennial known for its cheerful yellow blooms that line the stems in late summer to fall. A favorite among pollinators, it provides nectar for bees and butterflies and seeds for birds in the fall. This hardy plant thrives in full sun and well-drained to clay soils, making it perfect for prairie restorations, naturalized gardens, or as a vibrant, upright accent in the landscape. Its deep roots also help prevent erosion and improve soil health.
